Having on different sites to use different DB Tools I can report that I
normally have great success with ADAGER, DBGENRAL and FLEXIBASE.

However all of them have also trashed databases for me. Normally just
after I have lied and said "Yes of course I have just taken a backup"

To err is software, to fail to take a backup is human  :-)
