I was doing some y2k testing and thought that I would change the system
date by shutting down the system and then specifying a new date during the
re-boot. When it got to a confirmation of the date, I replied "n". It
then prompted for the date in M/D/Y format. I tried 1/1/2002, it took the
input and did a CrLf but then just sat there for many minutes. On the
theory that it might not like 4 digit years I repeated the process but
answered 1/1/2, same result.

Of course, when I accepted the correct date I was then able to use setclock
and so I can do the y2k tests.

My system is a 918LX.

Am I missing something simple here or is there a problem with this process?
