Once I dumped out a QUERY SAVE file. The self description is in the file
labels. They can be LOAD-ed back to QUERY.
Do you have only the SD files? If you have not lost the original
databases,  then I recommend you the way:

FIND ALL ...
OUTPUT=LP
REPORT LINES=0;NOPAGE;ALL

then you get a standart otput where each value is preceded by a field
name:

1      18
^      ^
FLD1   = value
FLD2   = value (reals in exponential format)
...

Now you can transfer and evaluate a Human readable file.
