Uh, Duh...... :-(
Why didnt I think of that....I sort of assumed that if java progs could talk to Imagesql, it was the same thing....
Will check asap and advise..

I think the "listener" job for ODBC is ODBCJOB.ODBCSE.SYS.
STRTMON.JDBC.SYS is for JDBC.
