I'm not sure what group you mean, but my team alone is larger than the total
you mention, and we support just a portion of the family of MPE products.  Add
to that the fact that we have a number of teams, and the numbers you quote
are quite low.  Please note that Atlanta and Mountain View (I assume you mean
that) are only two of the North American response centers.  Then, as Steve
noted in another post, there are country and regional response centers
throughout the world which have MPE (and HPUX, and RTE, etc.) expertise.
 
Hope this helps - the trend may be lean and mean, but we're not 'unseen'...
