It all depends on what you want/need to do. PC's only seem to want 32
MB of RAM if you run the dreadful Windows NT. I run a UNIX server on 16
MB of RAM with no problems; it runs an Internet newsfeed (InterNetNews
server, INN), web server, name server, and may soon become a file server
for a Macintosh network. No problems here.

As far as MPE systems with 24 MB of RAM... well, I cannot say. It's
been a long time since I've used one, (MPE 4.0 days, no networking) and
it sufficed quite nicely, even with 110 users. I currently maintain an
antiquated Series 42 with 4 MB of RAM, and although my userbase is
considerably small, it functions adequately in compiles and other such tasks.
