Logging in: 50 to 1000 bytes, with 50 being the more common end of that range.
Sitting idle: 0 [nothing is active, thus nothing is moving, other than
possibly keep-alive packets, which represent virtually no bandwidth (a few bytes
every few minutes)].

The bottom line is that circuit bandwidth is not a concern, even if you had a
thousand users all sign on at the same time. It may be hard on the CPU, but
it represents a very small load to the network.
