I checked at the alt.sci.seti ng after reading so many talk about no response from seti re port to HP. Below is the last dialog with the only person who cared to answer. If you don't have access to alt.sci.seti, there are places on the web that archive the messages for retrieval. A search on the subject line should find the thread for you.

You'd think that. But in fact, they already have way more clients than
they can handle *or* support, and more are joining every day. The last
thing they can afford to spend time in is worrying about more platforms.
No, that's not the last thing, it's the next-to-last thing. The *last*
thing they can afford to spend time on is dealing with all the hacked
versions and incompatabilities and communications issues if the source were
released. There's only four of them, and they're not even full-time.

Perhaps long ago. That time is long, long passed. Once, they had people
sign up so they could inform them when it became available. But when it
did, they got so swamped they didn't even bother to send out that
announcement. It's been like that all along. This is all new territory
for them, and they're changing plans as they go.
