Well I am on 5.5 and I got the driver on a 6.5
tape.  My issue is the HP response center is
telling me that I can not install this driver,
because the Expert Center said it could cause a
system abort.  Now I am afraid I will not be able
to use the 100 base card, and will have to use
the 10 base card.  This will cause a slowdown on
network traffic of 90%.

Yes, a change of a "System Abort" is possible...  Also a good change
of "missing externals".  This all is assuming that AUTOINST would let
you install a 6.5 subsys on a 5.5 system and my experience is that
AUTOINST does version checking and will not.
