Be careful about purchasing a large stock of these ribbons, once you find a
vendor. If these ribbons sit on a shelf for extended periods of time the
ink will flow downward (gravity works!).

When you put one of these ribbons in the printer the print head will become
clogged (sorry John!) with ink and becomes a huge mess to clean up. Take it
from me, I have had experience in the cleanup process.

Subject: [HP3000-L] HP2567C printer ribbons

We just got a rude awakening, so I'm wondering if there is anyone lurking
here who might be able to help.

We have a large HP2567C 1600 lpm impact printer as our system printer.
Support ends 9/30/02, but when we tried to order ribbons for it recently, we
were told that the manufacturer (HP) no longer makes them. All of our
attempt to reorder ribbons, even generic ones, have met with zero stock
anywhere. Does anyone here have them, or know where someone has them IN
STOCK? We are in the metropolitan Kansas City area. We are concerned with
acquiring them not the shipping charges.

I need to find these ASAP. Thanks.
