or you can encrypt into a ZIP file, then send that any way you choose, say
maybe FTP?

<http://winscp.vse.cz/eng/>, while
DSLINE is not so much. So, if there are requirements to securely transfer
files between other platforms, well, what exactly are those requirements?

So, yes, the hp 3000 has several means available to securely copy files to
and from other systems (where secure means encrypted). The $64 question is,
what is available on the other platform, that is also available on the 3000?

And, there is yet another solution. Use another platform, as the "way
station" between your 3000 and the public Internet or wherever these other
hosts are. Is your 3000 publicly visible? If not, you probably have either a
trusted system, or something outside your network, in your DMZ, which is.
Also, the 3000 or your trusted system can initiate these connections /
copies / transfers, without accepting them from outside, if that is
acceptable.

Or Patrick or someone else could port SSH & SCP to the 3000.
