No.  However, HP has (or will shortly have) a solution that will allow for
hardware mirroring of the system volume set.

Yes, conditionally.  AutoRAID will work, on 5.5 with patches, and on 6.0
and beyond.  However, performance isn't great, so depending on what type of
data access you require (realtime OLTP, near-line or off-line storage)
AutoRAID may not be for you.  One of my favorite configurations is still
JBOD (Just a Bunch Of Disk) for user data and a single Model 10 or 20 disk
array to protect the system volume set.  This is especially workable with
the new HVD10 disk subsystems (which will shortly replace the Jamaica HASS
disks).
