In a word, yes. It works well. Be sure your 918 has enough ram! Ram
is the single most important factor in performance under MPE/iX.
 
Also, moving to native compiled programs will improve performace, but
will use more disc space for the programs. We had to get used how
much bigger everything seems to be - more disc, more ram. (We moved
from a "3 bay" 70 to a 967 and do development on a 918.)
