Ahem...

I can't speak for others, but I have made sure (for decades) that
Adager refuses to deal with IMAGE databases whose RootFile versions
are beyond Adager's understanding.  Here is an example, using a very
old Adager version (from January, 1998) on a database with new IMAGE
limits:

Run with Parm=8 to build a stream file.      Run with Parm=1 for expert mode.

Use "?" for context-sensitive HELP.      Press <RETURN> for [DEFAULT VALUES].

Anywhere in the Adager dialogue, you may enter an MPE command preceded by ":"
(such as ":pscreen", to capture part of your screen to a printer or a file).
