I think that having a SYSSTOP script would make taking a 3000 down a
much easier process.  Otherwise, you have to manually abort jobs.  The
possibility of corrupting a file, or database, is increased by
accidentally aborting a job that needs to be brought down gently.

If HP could do this, it would be great.  May be on 7.0, what do you say,
HP.

        I think that a "SYSSTOP" script capability is an excellent idea.
        I would think (covering my ears and ..) that it would not be
terribly
        difficult for HP to do but it is one of those things that is
very difficult
        to do without MPE changes.
