for search engines sake I've reposted this misposting.

SMAPImail does inbound and is up-to-date with the lastest MIME variations
including Aol 6 and Lotus Notes 5.0. if anyone needs it on 6.5. I don't
know if people know but it's very difficult to keep one piece of code
up-to-date with all the various flavors of MIME floating around but
hopefully it's up-to-date for inbound use (for outbound use this doesn't
come into place since you need just one flavor). Since most of the mail is
outbound on the HP 3000 this doesn't come into play much, but if your app
requires an inbound attachment it's an imperative. It uses NETIPC so some
of the berkley socket issues don't apply and may be of use if you got your
back up against the wall.
