Hi all,

In the 2002 SIB there was a request for us to add the ability to the CI
to execute user written functions. In 2003 this top tier item was more
clearly defined and we started working on the externals and design. It
is now available for GR testing.

Please, if you voted for this SIB item and you are on 7.5, request
patches MPEMXP9 and MPEMXQ0. MXP9 is the code and MXQ0 is the error
catalog and online help text.

We are considering backporting this patch to earlier MPE releases, so if
you have input for us on that topic please let me know -- I will also be
at HP World. Oh, I guess I'd like to plug my CI Programming talk which
will be on Wed Aug 18th at 11am. This talk is about 25% new and will
cover some User function examples as well as emphasize
stable/maintainable CI programming techniques. After HPW I'll post my
talk on Jazz.

Regards,
  Jeff Vance, vCSY

p.s. I will be on vacation for the two weeks prior to HPW with very
limited (maybe no) email access. So, most likely I won't be able to
reply to you until after HPW.
