SIGMPE is scheduled for 12:00 - 1:00 on Thursday, September 26 in room 406B.
It follows immediately after the SIGSYSMAN meeting that begins at 11:00 in
the same room.

At the SIGSYSMAN meeting a proposal will be presented to merge SIGSYSMAN
into SIGMPE (the "New SIGMPE"?). This is a direct result of the 11/14
announcements. The Chairmen and Executive Committees of each SIG are
supporting this proposal.

Since we only have two hours total and a lot of important MPE issues to
discuss, I would like to start the SIGMPE meeting as soon as SIGSYSMAN has
completed its limited agenda. This way we can get administrative details out
of the way early and concentrate on the details of MPE now and into the
future. And any role SIGMPE can play.

Therefore, even if you've never come to a SIGSYSMAN or SIGMPE meeting in the
past, but are interested in MPE, please come for the full two hours starting
at 11:00 AM, September 26 in room 406B. We will have speakers from HP and
from OpenMPE and, I am sure, a lively discussion about HP's Wednesday
announcements.
