I have a theory, but I am not sure about it yet.
I can create a share pointing to a diretory directly off the root directory
and write files there, but cannot seem to get write access under an account.
Here is my account using Listacct :
DISC SPACE: 1664(SECTORS) PASSWORD: **
CPU TIME : 8882(SECONDS) LOC ATTR: $00000000
CONNECT TIME: 475(MINUTES) SECURITY--READ : ANY
DISC LIMIT: UNLIMITED WRITE : ANY
CPU LIMIT : UNLIMITED APPEND : ANY
CONNECT LIMIT: UNLIMITED LOCK : ANY
MAX PRI : 150 EXECUTE : ANY
GRP UFID : $05630002 $3DD27487 $0032D9C6 $7B842C00 $0407D4AF
USER UFID: $00000000 $00000000 $00000000 $00000000 $00000000
CAP: AM,ND,SF,BA,IA,MR,PH
Here is my account using ls -l
dr-xr-xr-x 2 MANAGER.SYS DEV 2160 Jul 7 09:25 DEV
Apparently the security settings for the account are not fully carried over
to the posix side as I have write set to any on the MPE side but the posix
security shows no write allowed.
Also chmod does not seem to work on account or group entries :
chmod 777 DEV
chmod: file "DEV": Invalid argument
So it does not look like this will work, unless I am missing something
obvious?
