We found those laser color printers (SAMSUNG 510N) that actually print color
sheets (100% of the sheet is color graphic) 20 pages per minute and is only
$300. The graphic looks great and the printer works just fine with our
network.
However, when we try to attach it to our HP3000 (Series 928RX), it does not
give any errors and it seems that everything is ok, except the spoolfiles are
getting lost (in another word, whenever we alter the spoolfile to print, it
disappears).
Here is how the NPCONFIG looks:
GLOBAL (BANNER_HEADER = FALSE
BANNER_TRAILER = FALSE)
230 (NETWORK_ADDRESS = 192.168.1.230
SNMP_ENABLED = FALSE
JAM_RECOVERY = FALSE
SETUP_FILE=LJ4000.PUB.SYS) #SAMSUNG 510N PRINTER
Here is how SYSGEN looks:
LDEV: 230 DEVNAME: OUTDEV: 0 MODE:
OS
ID: HPTCPJD RSIZE: 66 DEVTYPE: PP
PATH: NONE MPETYPE: 32 MPESUBTYPE: 0
CLASS: NETLP
Am I missing something? I have dealt with non HP printers before and by
putting SNMP_ENABLED = FALSE and JAM_RECOVERY = FALSE usually took care of this.
Any help or direction will be appreciated.
Thanks
Greg
