We keep track of programming time using Lotus 1-2-3 V 5 for Windows and
have been doing it that way for several years now.  It seems to work out
quite well for us.  We can summarize programming time by programmer,
department, etc. and Lotus can draw some pretty pie, bar charts if you
(or your management) is into graphics.
