We still manage about 500,000 lines of SPL code. This code is used to
produce our MPE/V, MPE/iX, and HP-UX versions of our products. We
couldn't have done it without the excellent help of SPLash!
You can find out more about SPLash! at:
http://www.allegro.com
How we manage to use SPLash! to produce HP-UX versions of our products
is described in my paper "Porting Qedit from MPE to HP-UX" which you
can find via:
http://www.robelle.com/papers.html
As I recall, Bob Green wrote most of the SPL textbook. I've asked
him to respond to your question about the example in the textbook
(assuming that he can remember).
