O.K., Sports Fans:

Next four days are "stand & deliver" time: Y'all have already been
harangued by various SIG leaders including me; on importance of
voting on this year's Interex System Improvement Ballot (SIB)
before COB Sunday 8 April; at:

http://www.interex.org/advocacy/survey/sib2001.html

I pass on an additional statistic: As of high noon PDT today (Wed
4 April), only 120 individuals had voted on the SIB.... now....:
Perhaps many of you are waiting to actually submit your ballots
until you see what if any additional discussions take place under
the "Details" links for each SIB item... If that's the case, all is well:
Just be SURE to submit your ballot by this Sunday.... :-)

... OTOH, if you are not waiting for final discussion on items of
interest to you; and have just not taken the time to visit above URL:
Come on, people: GIVE A DAMN !!.: VOTE !!.. please.. I expect
CSY to give some weight to total number of ballots; as an indicator
of how many people are actively interested in enhancements to
IMAGE, MPE, and MPE subsystems..... Believe I am correct that
there all about 1000 if not more people subscribed to 3000-L world-
wide... *Surely* we can get better than 12 percent participation
from this bunch on the SIB, when CSY has committed to devoting
"some" engineering resources to working on the SIB "Top 10" this
year ????....

While I'm on the subject, Ron Seybold asked:

> But when will the tabulated results be available for us to study?

AFAIK Interex has not published any specific "XX hours after the
polls close" info... And note I am not speaking for Interex here...
But: I am expecting (or at least assuming) that final results will be
available for publishing to the world very soon after the polls close;
I would certainly hope before the end of next week....

> And when will CSY report on which of the winning items it
> will perform?

CSY will have to answer that one.... But I can say that one of the
primary reasons the SIB process was accelerated to the degree it
was this year; is so that CSY could get started ASAP; actually
working on the "winning items" that make their final cut...

IMO it would certainly seem reasonable that CSY would announce
which of the "Top 10" they will be delivering by HPW at the latest
(that would be more-or-less following prior year precedent). Again
speaking just for myself, I'm hoping they don't wait that long; just
to make a splash at HPW: That's four months away.... I'd rather
know as soon as CSY knows... :-)
