Thank you for the info. I was afriad we might be looking at 24 hours or more
and I
wanted to be prepared. I knew the Response Center could give me theoretical
info,
but NOT a time estimate! This is what I needed.

BTW, we are getting two different errors on the different machines. On the
996-800
we try and access WELCOME.PUB.GLOBAL which is part of sign on process and the
file
can't be read, we get an error and go on, the error says the volume is not
mounted
which is bogus. We can easily do a listf on the directory which would not be
possible on an unmounted volume. On the 949 we do a listf,2 on certain
directories
and get UFID errors and the listf,2 stops in it's tracks. I think it safest to
use
every feature of FSCHECK and check everything out until I'm sick of looking at
the
screen.

P.S. I making *absolutely* sure no one gets on! I am going to lower the
limits,
raise the fence, turn off the stream capability and down every single ldev!
THAT'LL
keep 'em out! Might even cut the coax.
