In case anyone on HP3000-L is interested, it appears that Linux does run ok
on N- class systems.

I've signed up on the parisc-linux listserver and I sent the following note
and just received the response below:

Yep.
I once tried the linux latest from ftp.parisclinux.org,  with SMP
enabled,
it worked for 6 processors . I haven't done much on the latest kernel.
But the 2.4.9-64
which came with 0.93 works fine.
