How can we get this for the 3000?

Subject: WebConsole
Hello Friends @ 3000-L,
Re: Web Console
Taste Great & Less Filling! I have 3 Web Console's on my 3000's and they
do a great job for what I use them for.
They work well in my environment since I do not have Support Link modems
attached to the Parallel console ports.
They are great for:
1. Remote System reboot
2. Remote Patch Install including =shutdown, Update & SNR
3. System Process global debug.
4. Troubleshooting/problem duplication.
5. Start / Stop NS-TRANSPORT while connected to the system.
6. World Wide access over HP-Internet to system consoles.
Short comings:
1. Lacks cut/paste
2. Can not download code to the 3000 through the Web Console
As I said, they work well in my 3000 environment since HP does not let me
connect modems with inbound phone lines (security reasons) and these
machines do not have HP-RC support.
From the security perspective, these connections are encrypted and
passworded... We of course have the Web Consoles installed on the
internal side of the HP-FireWall.
From the support perspective, I do not believe the HP-RC could provide
support to customers with out the SUPPORT LINK modem. The Web Console
would SIGNIFICANTLY inhibit the Response Centers dial-in capability.
I have not heard that the Web Console is supported on the 3000 yet or
not. At the time of my purchase they were not supported on the 3000.
The only concern I can think of from a 3000 perspective is to make sure
the Web Console does not start driving problems with the CONSOLE BUFFERs
filling up.
If you already have a HP-SUPPORT LINK modem connected to the 3000 in the
parallel modem port, you already have all of the functionality of the Web
Console in your ability to remote boot the machine.
If you have remote systems that do not have SUPPORT LINK modems connected
to the parallel console port and you do not have need for the HP-RC to
dialin to the parallel console, these systems may be a good candidate to
install a Web Console on.
I hope this helps.
