Donna,

as far as I know:
* yes, it is supported under 5.5(7) with additional patches,
* yes, it can be used as Sys_Vol,
* yes, LDEV 1 can stay on a 9 GB drive - but will use only up to 4 GB (this is
still valid under 6.0 as far as I read the communicator so far),
* not that I know.

12H is "new" for HP3000 - with all the benefits & disadvantages some (still)
seldom used things may create ...

Best regards, Andreas Schmidt, CSC, Germany

Subject: 12h disc array

hi all!

(new budget money is a wonderful thing :-) i'm trying to
research the 12h disc array and (of course) i've got some
questions.
 - is it true that 12h is supported as of 5.5pp7 (plus
supplemental patches)?
 - and that it can be used for the system volume (including
ldev 1)?
 - and that ldev 1 can be on a 9gb drive?
 - any performance issues?

probably enough for today :-) - d
