Hello Friends:

Ray Shahan asks about a cheap HP 3000 for an acquaintance to play
with. At HP World we spotted an October-only special from Phoenix
Systems: $3,695 for a Series 928 including a 100-user license for
MPE-Image, 128Mb RAM, 9Gb disk and a DDS-2 tape.

We don't really know for sure if this is a cheap system -- but its
price was out in the open at the show,and the system will obviously
pass HP's licensing process. You're supposed to call Phoenix at
800.338.5112 and mention the "HP World Special Bundle."
