 Hello -
One of my clients in Bloomington, Ill requested that I help them fill
this long term contract job.  The duration of the contract is 2 years,
here is the description:


Summary:

Provides in-depth technical support on the Geneva Message Queuing
(GMQ) sofware product for a HP3000/MPE environment.

Specific skills must nclude:
* Experience in GMQ Support
* In-depth experience at supporting MPE/iX and using the POSIX shell
* Experience using UNIX shell programming
* Experience using the NT Operating System and using NT
troubleshooting tools
* Experience with Message Queuing software such as MSMQ, MQSeries, GMQ
* Participates in the development of action plans required to identify
and resolve system problems for customer's escalated sites.
* Acts as a technical liaison between field, response centers and
divisions for escalated sites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Investigates, verifies, and reports problems and assists customers
in achieving fixes or workarounds where possible.
* Identifies problematic or ineffective procedures, methods, and
processes in the diagnosis of problems. Recommend changes to the
appropriate entities.
* Provides technical backup to Field support personnel for assigned
products both by phone and on-site when necessary.
* Provides expertise on system and data recovery procedures in support
of field districts.
* Provides on-site investigations, assists in system-level problem
analysis, manages coordination of technical resources, and acts
assertively as a technical liaison between field and divisions for
Escalations Management Team. * Identifies difficult or potential
product problems and recommends solutions to manufacturing divisions.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
* Job requires use of analytical ability to investigate and resolve
product problems and recommend solutions or workaround.
* Must possess high technical knowledge on assigned products, good
communications and interpersonal skills, and have demonstrated good
judgment in problem resolution.
* Requires a Bachelor's degree in EE, CS, EET or equivalent education
and related progressive experience, with a minimum of two years
experience in problem resolution.

Additional Qualifications:
* Assists national response centers in resolving difficult problems
for customers.
* Assumes responsibility to drive the escalation management review and
monitor process between the factory and field.
* Active in the use and evaluation of predictive, preventative and
pro-active tools.

The GMQ product was purchased by Envoy Technologies about a year ago
and changed the name to Envoy Message Queuing (Envoy MQ).
