Seriously though, one approach to this is to convince HP that, now look, let's be reasonable:
If you support MPE, after UNIX has died, after LINIX has died, and NT has died, you will be a winner--
the last one standing: You will have a superior product that has always been around and will be continue to be around.

Of course, IBM has already done that, so HP may not like it that it was not their idea.
