It is important to note that a Julian Day count (Julian Date) has NOTHING to
do with the Julian calendar. One is a real calendar, originally based on the
phases of the moon, with named "moonths". The other is merely a count of days
from an arbitrary starting point. I realize that this is a common confusion,
but it is important not to continue to confuse the two.
