Dear all,

First an apology to those of you outside the UK/Europe for the bandwidth...

I would like to get a feel for the numbers of HP3000 sites in the UK and
Northern Europe still actively developing business solutions on the 3000
boxes. We are currently upgrading our 957 to a 979/200 and use Speedware
extensively. I am keen to get a feel of...
- How many 3000's are out there in the UK in particular.
- How many are still being used to develop internal business solutions (as
opposed to running an off the peg app)
- What are the development languages of choice on those being used for
development.

There have been some well publicised success stories recently on the 3000
in the UK particularly in Airline ticketing but with the demise of almost
all the 3000 specific press it seems almost impossible to get a feel for
this (and it's the kind of question boards love to ask when you're about to
sign big orders).

Reply direct or to the list (I'm in digest mode so don't expect early
replies from me).
