Don't know why the SHOWSET isn't working, but I can pretty much guarantee
that the discs are resyncing. Since the system was hung, I assume your
customer had to reset the machine without doing an orderly shutdown. Any
time a system halts with anything other than SHUT 6, Mirrored Disc/iX will
resync all the pairs.

Subject: Volutil mirrored disc showset headers only

We have a customer who when he came in this morning, no one
could access the system so they did a reboot. They do have
MirrorDisk/iX. After the reboot everything seems fine but
whenever they go into VOLUTIL and do a:
volutil>SHOWSET setname MIRROR
only the headers are returned. No information about the disk,
just the headers. Normally they see the the disk are in a normal
or RESYNC status. A DSTAT ALL looks fine.

The lights are flashing on the Mirror set as if it were resyncing.
Our customer is concerned because they can not tell what status
their disk are in.

They did just upgrade to 6.0 from 5.5 this past weekend.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Barry Durand
