Yes, as long as the JetDirect interfaces of whatever kind connect a
TCP/IP network connection to a PCL printer.  (All HP desktop laser and
inkjet printers are PCL printers).  If the printer also supports
PJL (aside from the LJ IIISi, which supports only language switching), a
robust form of page level recovery is also supported.
