As for creating and storing web pages, as Mark alluded to in his
prior post, we use a number of tools including:

Cold Fusion Studio (HTML and CFML)
  Microsoft Interdev (ASP and HTML)

and store to the HP3000 using Samba/iX, if we're using the 3000 as a
web server.

Ensure that appropriate permissions are granted (via chmod). The
tools will write bytestream files automatically yielding the correct
format.

Other tools that might be used on a PC, but having their pages stored
on a 3000 include most of the publishing tools available today
including FrontPage, FrontPage Express, HoTMeTaL Pro and so forth.

If not using Samba/iX, you can still use these tools, however, the
files will need to be transferred to the 3000 via FTP to ensure
bytestream format. This alleviates the need to use the TOBYTE
utility after getting the file up there with let's say, a termulator.

If hand-turning HTML directly on the 3000, it's suggested that an
editor that can produce bytestream files be used. These include
Qedit for Windows (edit directly on the 3000, but from a Windows PC),
Whispertech Programmers Studio, or if you have neither of these
products and feel adventuresome - there's always "vi".

Regards,
Joe
