Hi, Paul

Set up some scan disk to scheduled task in daily(night), and set up defrag
in your disk drive every weekend, also repair or repack some register using
scanreg check with www.regiedit.com. Increase memory size, if you open lots
of a tasks, otherwise close some open task from task bar, Windows priority;Q
go up and down 16 different level, 32 but increase/decrease by 2, so some
task may be bottom of priority = FQ(joke). then this task performance will
be degrade. run some sysmon32(like Glance) to check Memory and resource hug.

Do not use FindFast this will index all the file allocation table, please
STOP from control Panel, Take as much task away from systray...

In Hardware, check CPU fan for working, If not then temperature goes up and
temperature sensor will slow down CPU clock or cutdown CPU power. bad cache
memory or marginal memory chip will bring down system performance too..

Cheers
Peter C.
