I am thinking of upgrading from MPEiX 6.0 to 6.5. In doing so, it will allow me to increase the HP979KS/400 memory addressing from 3.75 Gbytes to 8.0 Gbytes. I am trying to reduce the disk io bottleneck. Is 6.5 suitably compiled to measure an important gain in perfomance if I increase the memory?

Apparently 7.0 and 7.5 does not support ibm 3480, 3490 tape drives? Is this correct?

Will there be any compatibility issues if my programs are written in S.P.L.?

Thanks,

Jean Huot
