We had problems similar with duplicate IP addresses. But this was only
between two PC's, no one was ignorant enough to use the server addresses.
Maybe in your case that is happening? This problem became intermitten as
some of our mobile users would hook their laptops into the network. So given
that the network froze between the two PC's in question, this could be your
problem when someone duplicates the HP IP address.
