[log in to unmask][log in to unmask], 22 May 1997 17:59:51 GMT423_- Does anyone excercised creating volumes "in fly" on disks of running
HP3000 System?
It is 937LX machine, MPE 5.0, having 8GB HDD in total.
Is it anyhow possible? (Means: to do it without reloading everything?
For example with VOLUTIL.)

If yes/no, how to prepare such.

I want to contact anybody experienced in that matter, because
theory-experts do not have the common opinion. [...]42_22May199717:59:[log in to unmask]

I have many LJ4's connected serially through 3-wire DTC ports at 9600
baud. On some of the printers, I randomly (not consistently) receive
'22 SER IO ERROR' on the printer's display. Help! What do I need to
     change to eliminate this error.

Most of the printers have JetDirect Cards for Netware printing. All
     printers are < 300' from a DTC.

The errors occur mostly on output containing laser forms. But the
errors are not consistent. I have another LJ4 serially connected that
is my heavy-duty laser forms printer and it never receives a '22 SER
IO ERROR', but it also does NOT have a JetDirect card.

Any suggestions will be most appreciated!
