The point wasn't to weigh these folks down, and actually the reminder point
was only an excuse.
I have several friends who served in Special Forces. For the most part they
appreciated the joke. And took it to the next level (doesn't bare repeating
here).
And as far as Mr. Gore is concerned, never met him (personally), but I'm
sure he thought of it first and invented it. ;)
