Once again we have a discussion involving the complexity of running MPE
and UNIX together.  I know I will be getting more flames for this, but
I can't resist:
 
You could port everything from your 3000 to a UNIX box and get the best
of both worlds: run your legacy apps and get UNIX functionality.  I
don't understand why those who need and/or want UNIX keep jumping
through hoops in order to keep the old 3000.
