HP Pavilion 8175 Power Supply Modification?

I've installed a generic replacement power supply in my HP Pavilion
8175.
The sound card (AD 1816) has a propriatery connector that won't mate
with the new power supply.  HP tells me some customers have effected a
power supply cable/connector modification to make the sound card work.

Does anybody have experience with this?  If so, can you provide me with
a wiring diagram ?  Thanks.
