Nathan,
I work for a software developer with a legacy system (cobol/v+) which we
were looking to update via a GUI front-end. I can't tell you how many
hundreds of hours we've spent evaluating "Quick GUI Solutions". To date,
ScreenJet is the only one that will actually do what it says it will do.
We have begun the task of modifying our product's V+ forms with the new
ScreenJet GUI screens. One of the best things about Millware's product is
that you don't have to change ALL of the screens - you don't even have to
change all of the read-groups of a screen. Better, yet, is that if you
have a user who is still very pleased with the old look, they'll continue
to see the old screen, if they want.
We are actually using the GUI as a prefered method of "ease of training" -
someone can more easily use the GUI screens while learning the system,
then when they are comfortable with their job, they could migrate to the
V+ screens, which will enable them to actually do faster "heads down" dat
entry.
In brief, we've been looking a long time and feel that today, ScreenJet is
by far the best product on the market!
If you would like to discuss the "particulars", or if you have other
questions, please feel free to call me (706/625-4898 x.11) or emial me.

----------

I've been given a demo disk from Millware for their GUI product for the
3000. I'm to evaluate it, and I was wondering if anyone else had
experience with, comments about, or recommendations for this product.

Thanks,

Nathan Kraft
