Unless someone has invented a 'software striping' for MPE this is simply
rumor. Disks in Jamaica Cabinets can be RAID 0 (no raid, or JBOD = just a
bunch of disks) or RAID 1 using HPs Mirrored Disk software.

RAID 5 is available through the old fashioned FL disk arrays (no longer
on the price list AFAIK), 'Nike' Model 10 and Model 20 disk arrays and
EMC Symmetrix arrays, the latter are F&W SCSI connected. Nikes and EMC
also have 'hardware' RAID 1 mirroring, which is useful for system volume
set disks.

Goetz.
