I used to have a handy utility that used to search and / or replace text in
a HP3000 ascii file.
Utility was called Replace/3000 and we bought a copy from a company called
Mighty Keys who had an outlet here in France.
I have tried to use it today and it seems not to be 1999 compatible!!!

Erreur fatale numÈro 9988 dans le programme REPLACE.PUB.MKTOOLS
Cette version n'est plus active.Contacter Mighty Keys au (1)64 54 82 32
meaning "This version no longer active. Contact MK on ..."
...
run replace.pub.mktools;parm=1
Program terminated in an error state. (CIERR 976)

So I call the number and the company has moved.
Can't find them on the Net.
Can anybody help ?
Is there anything similar available? Shareware?

You might want to use a utility on the CSL that Guess? contributed called LOOKAT.  LOOKAT can search or replace up to 50 character strings simultaneously.
