Hello All

I was interested in the question posed below by Peter re remote commands on a AS/400 machine. I've got the same situation with an ftp process moving files from our HP to an NT box. Does anyone know offhand how I could remotely execute a further process on the NT box? I've tried variations of the command given in response to the earlier question but to no avail.

Thanks in advance

Hello,

I am not an MPE user, I am just trying to help one. There is an FTP
script on our HP/3000 which transfers a file once a day from our
AS/400. After a succesful transfer, we would like to launch an AS/400
CL program from the FTP script. Could someone give me an example how
to do it? I tried both SITE and QUOTE commands but they always fail
with error messages. Bellow you can see the version information of our
HP/3000 (maybe it helps):

HP3000 Release: C.60.00 User Version: C.60.02 THU, SEP 13, 2001,

If you want to run a program on your AS/400 from your HP just do this

:FTP
OPEN AS400
USER AS400USER AS400PASSWORD
QUOTE RCMD CALL LIBRARYNAME/FILENAME
QUIT
