I'm trying to run SOKINFO.NET.SYS from a job and receive the
following error message:

-------------------------------
 .
 .
 .
 SOCKINFO (B.05.09) (c) Copyright Hewlett-Packard Company 1985-1992
 (24/32) Continue?
MPE-XL Socket Information Display. NetIPC version B.05.09

*Error 6* This program may not be run from a job

 END OF PROGRAM
  :EOJ

--------------------------------

The RUN statement for the SOCKINFO program is:

    RUN SOCKINFO.NET.SYS;INFO='programname.group.account' >*fileeq

This works fine in interactive mode - although it requires manually
entering the SOCKINFO "Exit" command to finally terminate the
program. The required "Exit" command seems to be the problem when
running from a job. I've tried using a MSG file to input the "Exit"
- didn't work.

The information I'm looking for is the total number of sockets
associated with a particular program. Is there some other
program/command I can use to accomplish this in a job?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
