Please help 8250I cdrw will not detect blank media

 8250 I does not read blank media it will read disks with data on it, it
has read one or two but that it it will not let me do anymore what is
the problem with it!!!? what can i do to fix it i have reinstalled the
software and all it is on win 95 os which is supposed to be compatible>>
please help
