MAJOR difference: When Hitler sent the rebuilding Whermacht into the
Rhineland, he was reuniting that part of Germany with the rest of Germany to
the great pleasure of virtually all Germans on both sides of the artificial
border. Thus Hitler become more popular. When Saddam attacked the Kurds, no
the Kurds didn't exactly like it.

About the only people opposed to Hitler's actions were British and French who
had created this artificial division of Germany in the first place after WWI.

Since the Kurds are not exactly Saddam fans they will support a possible
war.... post-Saddam if there is a war...will there be an independent
Kurdistan? What if the Kurds up and do so (independence) regardless of US
views on the subject? Do we physically stop them?

Points to ponder.

Wayne
