Ok, I can't resist....
   The Marine Corp decided on the following course of action to prevent
data contained on hardrives from falling into enemy hands during the
Persian Gulf (the Corp deployed portables for a WAN)
 
       Any remaining personnel will fire a minimum of 5 rounds from a
small arms weapon thru the harddrive.
 
Art:  You ARE kidding, right?  Did they at least save the damned notebooks and PC's?
 
If not - hey, your hard-earned tax dollars at work...
 
(Heck, they could have at least used a CompuAdd PC - they at least have a low MTBF
and scrape the platter at least every 6 months or so :-)
